چکیده
Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is still a severe problem in underdeveloped and developing countries. Diagnostic tests are unavailable every health institution, TB culture can take up to 45 days. Therefore, there need for cheaper, faster, easily accessible diagnostic methods that guide the diagnosis. This study aimed determine whether red blood cell distribution width (RDW), C-reactive protein (CRP)-lymphocyte ratio (CLR), platelet-lymphocyte (PLR), lymphocyte-monocyte (LMR) be used as biomarkers diagnosis of pulmonary patients with no comorbidities.
Material Methods: Files microbiologically confirmed 122 153 whom was excluded were retrospectively reviewed. Out them, comorbidities from study. Eighty-one 100 controls included study.
Results: The lymphocyte, eosinophil, LMR levels remained significantly lower group, while neutrophil, monocyte, RDW, platelet, PLR higher same group.
Conclusion: In those suspicious TB, PLR, CLR, whereas PDW, may predict previously healthy individuals.

متن کاملTHE ROLE OF FIBEROPTIC BRONCHOSCOPY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS
From January 1982 to April 1987 , 1500 cases of fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FOB) were performed. Among these cases, 37 were suspected of having pulmonary tuberculosis but their sputum examination was either negative or they were not able to expectorate. In all these cases pulmonary TB was confirmed either by bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid examination or by biopsy. We conclude that FOB is ...

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a condition associated with inflammation in lungs and airways. The impacts of inflammatory process is not limited to respiratory system but extend to extrapulmonary organs with resultant complications involving endocrine, metabolic and cardiovascular systems. The extent and severity of inflammation may be partly estimated by serum measurement of s...
متن کاملC-REACTIVE PROTEIN RESPONSE IN ANGINA PECTORIS
C-reactive protein (CRP) response was studied in 44 patients with acute angina pectoris admitted to the coronary care unit. 71 % of patients with acute myocardial infarction (MI)had positive CRP test while 73% of patients presumed to have unstable angina pectoris had negative CRP test. This test can be helpful in differentiating between acute MI and unstable angina pectoris.
